Delivering Better Financial Outcomes Bill – Tranche 1 webinar

The DBFO Bill Tranche 1 received royal assent on the 9 July 2024. The Bill delivers some small wins to remove unnecessary red tape. These include:

• Flexibility on how to provide Financial Services Guides to clients
• Removal of the requirement to provide a Fee Disclosure Statement for ongoing fee arrangements
• Ability to have clients consent 60 days prior to transition date
• Extension of renewal period from 120 to 150 days
• Life insurance commission remaining at current caps with requirement for consent to commissions
